Q: What is Audionaut?
A: Audionaut is a software company and a record label Audonaut Recordings.

Q:How do I get new product updates from Audionaut.
A: If you have purchased you product trough Get Software, you have to got to their page www.getsoftware.com. Click on the Order History menu item. You will see an summary of your orders with Get Software. Click on the name of the product and you will be automatically be offered the upgrade.

Q:What is a SysEx?
A:SysEx(System Exclusive messages) is a way to store and send sounds, patch parameters or sample between MIDI devices and computers.

Q:What is a midi device?
A: It is a device that uses midi, for example synthesizer, drum machines or effects.

Q:What is a midi model?
A:Is the name and id of a midi device.

Q:What is a VST Instrument
A:A VST instrument is a virtual instrument using the power of your computer instead of an own hardware like synthesizers and drum machines. To uses VST your sequencer(Host) must support VST instruments for example Cubase,Nuendo, Logic, Orion, AudioMulch etc.

Q:How do i use a VST instrument.
A:Start your host and select your VST instrument, for example start Cubase, select VST Instruments from the Panels menu, select "Audionaut FK Beat" in the VST instrument dialog. Choose a midi track in Cubase, on the tracks out select "Audionaut Fk Beat".

Q:How do I install a VST plugin
A: Copy the file with the extension of *.dll to your "Vstplugins" directory for you host, for example "C:\audio\Cubase5\Vstplugins\" if you are using Cubase 5 as your VST host.

Q:What is a patch
A: A patch is a stored parameter for midi devices, for example a sound for a midi synthesizer, settings for an midi effect etc.

Q:What is an *.asb file?

Q:What is the Audionaut Sound Bank(ASB) and how do I use it
A: Asb files contain SysEx data and information such as the name of the midi model(DX7, Nordlead etc) manufacture(Roland, Yamaha, Korg etc.), compatibel midi model, name of the sound(not file name), type of SysEx(Bank, Single Sound, SysEx command and other), grade, description/comment, category , Author and copyright

Q:What is an ASG file
A:Are file containing a group of ASB files.

Q:Why can I not receive a sysex message in AMM?

• Check that you have right midi device in (Device settings)
• Try to close other midi applications
• If  none of the abow seems to work then send us a email and explain witch midi device you use.

Q:Why can't I send a sysex message in AMM?

• Check that you use right midi device out.
• Try to close other midi applications that you have running in background.
• Set memory protected off on your midi device.
• Check that you use right midi channel out.
• Check that your midi device can receive sysex (sysex on)
• If  none of the abowe make it works then send us a email and explan witch midi devices and your setup.
